5S and 3T in Gemba

In Toyota production system, 5S and 3T  is a basic rule that must be applied in Gemba.  Without implementation of 5S and 3T,  all improvement activities is become not maximal and even useless

5s are as below :

1.Seiri ( Sort Out )

Make sure that only the necessary item are keep in our production line

2. Seiton (Fix arrangement )

Make sure that all things, supporting tool and other item in our production line are keep at fix and clear place , in order that we can easily take and put them and have no lost time to find them

3. Seisou ( Cleaning )

Make sure that our production line are keep cleaning,  no rubbish, dirt , dust etc

4. Seiketsu ( Maintaining)

Make sure that we continue maintain 3s above

5.Shitsuke  ( Discipline )

Discipline about any thing in production line is a must

3T are as below

1. Teii   ( Where To put )

Decide the location where to put something at our line production

2. Tei hin  ( What to put )

Decide,  what item need to put

3. Tei Ryo  (quantity )

Decide how many quantity of item we put there
